5 Days of Dance has grown every year since its first inception in 2017, and we’re excited to bring it back this summer. Erin Kouwe leads improvisation and contemporary phrase work for 5 nights of summer grooves. Join us for a workshop designed for dancers at an intermediate/advanced thru professional level. Dive into guided improvisation and contemporary phrase work with fresh ideas on foundational concepts in a fun environment. Come sweat, move, laugh, and live your life in a deep plié with us.
Improvisation study is dancers' chance to play and expand their imaginations. Cues based in anatomy, limitation and imagery inspire dancers to research and explore new texture, subtlety and freedom in their movement.
Contemporary phrase work is an introduction to new movement sequences that play with musicality, detail and dynamics. Rediscover floor work, tackle intricate pathways, and push your limits. With time to dig in and master new information, we build a warm community around the fun of grooving and pushing yourself together.
Class space is limited and pre-registration is required.
